WHAT: Roller Derby
WHO: Ohio Valley Roller Girls
WHERE: James E. Carnes Center, St. Clairsville, OH
WHEN: On Saturday March 9, doors open at 6pm, bout starts at 7pm. On Sunday March 10, doors open at 4pm, bout starts at 5pm.
WHY: The Ohio Valley Roller Girls are a nonprofit organization of local skaters, officials, and volunteers. They play flat track roller derby, an exciting and constantly evolving new sport that combines speed, teamwork, and hard hits. On Saturday, OVRG will take on Charleston, WV’s Chemical Valley Rollergirls. On Sunday, skaters from teams across the region will join OVRG and CVR and split into “Rainbows” and “Shamrocks” for a fun St. Patrick’s Day themed scrimmage. A portion of the weekend’s proceeds will go to the American Heart Association.
HOW MUCH: Single-day tickets are just $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Weekend passes are $15 in advance or $17 at the door. Kids 12 and under get in free.
